The British Benevolent Society of California (BBS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides urgent aid to British Citizens facing hardship throughout California and the Western United States.
Established in 1858, BBS has a long history of delivering compassionate, and often life-changing, support to British citizens during times of crisis. Whether helping individuals access essential resources, navigate unexpected challenges, or regain stability, the organization is committed to providing assistance with dignity and care.
Beyond its charitable mission, BBS brings the local British community together to connect, celebrate shared heritage, and support one another. What We Do
